Welcome to Richmond Osteopathic Clinic
We can operate under Covid-19 Level 2
I am Tim Soar. Osteopath. With my wife Judy we set up the Richmond Osteopathic Clinic in 1994 operating from the basement of our home, a legacy of sharing childcare duties whilst starting a new practice. Judy has since retired from treating patients.
After 26 years this set up has allowed the Richmond Osteopathic Clinic to retain a personal, relaxed, family feel whilst still delivering a service that is experienced, professional and compliant with all the requirements of a current/modern osteopathic practice.
We have a patient centred approach that works cooperatively with all other healthcare services in our community. We take self-referrals and referrals from other healthcare providers. If we are unable to help you we will direct you to someone who can.
We are ACC treatment providers. Registered with the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand and members of Osteopaths New Zealand.
We offer a straight forward, common sense structural approach to musculoskeletal problems, or conditions that have a musculoskeletal component to them.
Our aim, along with treatment, is to enable you take an active role in your recovery where appropriate. You will be helped to understand what your problem is and hopefully some of the causative factors, receive treatment provided it falls within our scope of practice, and be guided beyond treatment with recommendations for self management and future prevention. Our treatment commonly consists of soft tissue work, joint mobilisation and exercise prescription.
